Reigate's Historic Windmills

by saracen on Wed Jan 16, 2008 12:33 pm

Nice to hear that one of Reigate's old windmills has come back to life.
The Wray Common Windmill in Reigate, Surrey, has been beautifully renovated and put up for sale as a unique residence worth over a million pounds.
Derelict when it went up for auction in 2004, it has been lovingly restored.

Reigate's other windmill, over-looking Reigate Heath Golf Course, has been in use as a place of worship for the last 120 years. Aptly named the St Cross Chapel, it is the only consecrated windmill in the world.
